Tin Tin is created by Herz, a leading Belgian comedy writer, and illustrator. In paintings he drew from 1924, he signed R.G. R.G is pronounced as Herz in French. His real name was Georges Remy, which is why he became known as Herz.

Born in Brussels in 1907, he turned to painting in 1921. That was when he was in the Scout Army. He once claimed that Ting Ting's detective work was due to his scout military life. He died on March 3, 1983, surrendering to the world of the immortal cartoon character Tin Tin. At the time of his death, he was painting a new story that included another Tin Tin adventure. But he will not be able to finish it.
